Get ready, California. Los Angeles is considering a carbon tax to help stem emissions that contribute to the global warming myth. Billed as a “climate change mitigation and adaptation fee,” it would comprise of a 3% tax on fuel or a $90 flat annual fee, based on vehicle emissions. However, unlike British Columbia’s plan to make this tax revenue-neutral, this article doesn’t mention plans by the city to implement a similar structure. The new carbon tax will be paid on top of existing fuel taxes.
