Monday, April 7th was the day the news broke about the BBC caving to environmental activists and modifying their story to make it look less like global warming is over. Man-made climate change may be indeed over as northern Minnesota received over two feet of snow on the same day.
On Tuesday, we learned that Los Angeles is considering a global warming tax. That’s not unusual in and of itself since California is typically thought of, as least by some of us in the east, as a blue state. However, Tuesday also brought us news that global warming is highly beneficial. The sun is cooling down, at least temporarily, and whatever can be done to keep the planet warm will allow for more crops to grow. Maybe California doesn’t want to grow food. Who knows.
Wednesday brought us news of the new Vulcan satellite that can pinpoint carbon emissions. The problem is that the carbon emissions weren’t emanating from where scientists thought they were. Oh, those silly know-it-all scientists and their theories. Like global warming. Also on Wednesday I reported on an article that proved media bias in reporting global warming. Only 20% of news articles from the big four referenced any type of skeptical view of climate change. And the libs think Fox News is the only biased news source. Ha!
Thursday we learned that another batch of scientists (hopefully not from the same hive as the Wednesday ones) proposed shooting small pieces of glass into the atmosphere to combat global warming. The specially-designed glass would absorb carbon dioxide and reflect solar radiation back into space. Let’s try to keep the Tuesday scientists that think global warming is beneficial away from the Thursday scientists that want to stop climate change.
And on Friday, it was revealed that an Australian newspaper forced its employees to participate in Earth Hour by not being critical of the event. Note to Australia newspaper reporters - in America we have a saying: “take this job and shove it.” In political news, Barack Hussein Obama has guaranteed Al Gore a job if he wins the whitehouse. As if I needed another reason to vote against Mr. Obama and his social agenda, he has now guaranteed himself one less popular vote. Maybe Barack can ask Al Gore about the difference between popular votes and the electoral college.
Saturday? I mostly took the day off but I did put up a short post on how Al Gore is robbing Peter to pay Paul. But that’s typical of the left, so it’s really not breaking news, now is it?
Enjoy your week!
