California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has angered environmentalists for asking that federal environmental reviews be waived on highway projects. The Republican Governor is working to create 22,000 new jobs and provide the state with a $1.2 billion economic boost, albeit paid by the taxpayer. Schwarzenegger wants to move forward with 10 big highway projects in the state but environmental regulations currently tie up those projects.
