Banned Because of Global Warming

My friend Margo’s Maid over at the ShadowLands blog sent me an email early this morning with a link to one of his recent blog posts on what items have been banned, or called to be banned, because of global warming. While the list is still growing, it follows the theme of what I’ve been telling you since the inception of my blog: that global warming is more about carbon taxes and lifestyle controls than actually doing anything about the climate. From tennis balls to asthma inhalers, there are many items here that even I hadn’t heard of. Do you have others? Leave your comment below or leave them directly at the list at the link below.

A social and fiscal conservative, I scour the news for information that disputes the current man-made global warming indoctrination that takes place around the world. I take a rather sarcastic approach to reporting on the nonsense being spewed by the talking heads in the media and the governments around the world.

Those who understand Control Systems Theory (CST) can recognize that earth’s climate can be evaluated as a dynamic system with feedback. Since the sun is the only significant energy source, the model is quite simple. The input (to the transfer function) is the insolation (energy from the sun) combined with feedback from average global temperature (agt). The transfer function is all factors that contribute to agt. And the output is agt. Repeatedly during the last and previous glacial periods, a temperature increasing trend changed to a decreasing trend with the atmospheric carbon dioxide level higher during the temperature down-trend than it had been when the temperature trend was increasing. This is not possible if there is net positive feedback. CST and this accepted ice core data prove that increased atmospheric carbon dioxide (and/or methane) does not significantly influence agt.

Unfortunately, most climatologists appear to be unaware of this relevant part of science. Thus they are pretty much unaware of their mistake. Most in the climatology community, most politicians, most of the main-stream-media and an entire industry built on exploiting AGW will all eventually need to admit that they have been wrong. That has started to happen but the rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide and decline in average global temperature of the last 8 years will need to continue for a long time before the AGW Mistake is generally accepted.

Mr. Duvinak, AGW alarmist would probably like to have humans banned too. Humans seem to be pretty low on most of their priority lists. They wouldn’t even care about melting arctic ice if weren’t for the polar bears. Someone should teach those bears to swim…LOL is an Privacy Policy and Legal
