Even with a winter storm pounding Washington DC, global warming activist Al Gore gave his testimony this morning before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, headed up by fellow Democrat John Kerry of Massachusetts. Mr. Gore said the nation must break its dependence on oil and that the planet is in grave danger. During his speech, the former Vice President presented a slideshow to demonstrate that global warming is increasingly damaging the earth. I wonder if he continues to use the now debunked hockey stick graph? Gore urged followers in an email Wednesday to contact their legislators and let them know that following the status quo will not revitalize the economy. So now global warming is not only a tool to save the planet from destruction, but also a tool to fix our economic crisis? That’s a stretch even for the most imaginative person.
