What do grain, DDT and Al Gore have in common? Gore is involved in the reduction of both grains and DDT. The ban of DDT, which was well on its way to eradicating malaria, has meant that 30 million Asians and Africans died from the illness.

Ok… so some people died of Malaria. Why didn’t we send them vaccinations? $3 trillion off to Iraq and we can’t send one f%$#ing crate of vaccine to Africa.

Instead you want to spray DDT on everything. DDT kills ALL insects, including bees… which last I heard there was a crisis in the bee world causing huge losses in the bee population. But that’s okay, we didn’t need to eat fruits or vegetables, we’ll just eat at McDonalds.

Oh, and wasn’t DDT directly linked to low calcium levels in bird eggs? So your hypothesis is that we should kill every American Bald Eagle, Blue Herron, Snowy Egret, Whooping Crane, Stork, Flamingo…etc…etc. Just so we don’t have to send vaccinations to Africa?

    You Suck!

Something else is killing bees now and it’s not DDT. The point I’m trying to make is that the environmentalists don’t look at the whole picture when pushing their agenda on the world. I think DDT had more benefits than downsides and, besides, we’re not going to kill every American Bald Eagle, blue herron, etc., just because we reinstate DDT. I think that’s a little sensationalist. I’ll take some bees, birds and insects over 30 million people. While I don’t always agree with the President’s choice in social programs, he is a conservative and they’re not known for their social spending. It’s the liberals who should be pushing for vaccines if anything and, if they truly cared about the welfare of Africans, they wouldn’t be pushing ethanol which is taking food out of their mouths.

But your comment was interesting and I appreciate your counter argument! Welcome to the website, Dylan.
