Good morning, folks, and welcome to the Global Warming Week-in-Review.

Sunday, May 11th:

10ksnookers.blogspot.com provided some interesting commentary on carbon credits and the cap-and-trade system, saying that it’s just a government-sanctioned ration on goods and services?  How?  Both systems limit the total amount of greenhouse gas that can be emitted into the atmosphere, which results in a limit of how much of a good or service can be produced without going over that limit.  Remember the gas lines of the 1970’s?  If this keeps up, expect to see lines for more than just gas.

Monday, May 12:

The European Union said on Monday that emission-cutting targets are unreachable, dealing yet another blow to the global warming agenda.  Originally the E.U. was set to implement greenhouse gas emission cuts in both foreign and domestic automobiles and penalize those manufacturers that didn’t comply.  Now it appears as though this plan, set for a 2012 implementation, could be shelved.   From the we-knew-it-already-but-it-needs-repeating category, pending legislation in the United States to curb greenhouse gas emissions could raise electricity and natural gas bills.  Energy prices could jump 27% by 2020 and 64% by 2030.  As if oil prices, ethanol and food prices haven’t already wrecked the economy, it appears as though the environmentalists aren’t satisfied until we’re all eating dirt.  Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain are both big believers in the global warming hoax and have demonstrated their green love by touting cap-and-trade systems designed to limit carbon emissions.  Unfortunately America is most likely going to see one of these two as the next president unless Ron Paul can pull it out.  Don’t hold your breath.  It’s going to be four years of environmental agony starting in 2009.

Tuesday, May 13:

On Tuesday we learned that the data used to create the infamous hockey stick graph used by Al Gore in his An Inconvenient Truth film was a fraud, having left out the entire Medieval Warm Period to make it look like all the warming was recent and the fault of human activity.  In an effort to get the best result possible, tree ring samples were hand-picked to provide data that most closely matched the desired result.  Shame, shame, Al Gore.  Maybe the street corner elixir sales of the early 1900’s would be a better occupation for you.  Those crafty Canadians are providing the government wrong as drivers in the country north of the United States simply refuse to curb driving habits in the face of carbon emissions taxes.  Fuel sales are up from 2006 and more people are seeking trip planning advice.

Wednesday, May 14:

ABC News, while continuing to tow the global warming line, suggested Wednesday that we all cut our meat consumption by one-quarter, you know, to save the planet.  ”Save the cow.  Save the world!”  In what has become an all-out assault on lifestyles in America and around the world, global warming activists complain that cows produce too much methane and the whole slaughter/process/transport/pack process just creates too much greenhouse gas.  Maybe we can all start eating ants and crickets, like Bear Grylls in Man vs. Wild, to get our protein instead.  In other more important news, fewer Americans belief in the global warming hoax than they did in January 2007, down 6%.  Maybe it’s because every time a spokesperson for the movement opens their mouths, they put their foot in it?  We’re not all moon landing-hoaxers or flat-earthers, you know.

Thursday, May 15th:

Vancouver, British Columbia already pays over $12.00 for a 50-liter fill-up in taxes at the pump.  Now the city wants to implement a metro carbon tax that will add another $2.00 per liter to the cost of fuel.  Where is the outrage over this blatant attempt to steal your money?   Speaking of money, Al Gore revealed on Friday that he does intend to profit from his global warming machine after acknowledging investments in renewable energy companies.  For once can we get someone pushing a cause that has no vested financial interest in the outcome of the cause?  Why do people still listen to this guy?

Friday, May 16th:

The governor of Arizona vetoed anti-global warming legislation on Friday, which would have prevented the government from interfering with the reduction of greenhouse gases.  Yeah.  That’s what we need.  Bigger government.  How about all of you government officials start flying coach like the rest of us and then we’ll talk, ok?  In more government nonsense, umm, news, New Hampshire is working on legislation to curb greenhouse gas emissions in a 10-state region.  Effective in 2009, power plants will be hit by emissions caps.  Have fun paying your power bills, New England.  While the rest of the country will be enjoying a recession-free economy, you’ll still be crawling out of yours.

Saturday, May 17th:

All of you overweight people out there beware:  the food police are on to you.  They’re on to your increased fuel costs to drive around all that extra weight.  And now you’re to blame for global warming because your car emits all those extra greenhouse gases.  Now I’m not overweight personally, but I did take a trip to McDonalds this morning in my gas-guzzling truck by myself to eat as a salute to you.  I even let the engine just sit there and idle for a few minutes.  Maybe Al Gore will begin hosting “The Biggest Loser” here in the states to help encourage people to shed their extra pounds?  Also, corn-based ethanol is apparently creating more greenhouse gas emissions than traditional fuel, according to an article that came out yesterday.  Over 30 years, the amount of carbon emissions is doubled when compared to typical oil-based gasoline, which means every gallon of ethanol purchased and used is helping to destroy the environment.  Another great genius moment brought to you by the global warming hoax.  And finally, news arrived Saturday that said global warming was linked to kidney stones.  Kidney stones are brought on by dehydration, which is only enhanced by the gradual warming of the planet due to climate change.  As global warming takes hold on the world, so will increased cases of kidney stones.  But doesn’t global warming also cause cool weather now, too?  Or is that back off the list?

Thanks to all of you for linking up to my articles and telling your friends about Skeptics Global Warming.  I’ve seen a huge influx of people to the blog over the last few weeks and it’s certainly gratifying to know there are others out there that are skeptical of the global warming hoax
