Interesting LiveLeak video hosted by Professor Ian Clark, Department of Earth Studies at the University of Ottawa claims that CO2 concentrations are natural and not man-made.  Scroll about 1/3 down the page to see the video.

Disputing Global Warming »

[30 Jun 2008 | No Comment | 40 views]

Nice find here from The Stoned Crab:  it’s been assumed (and you know what happens when you assume) that temperature changes cause cloud variations but not the other way around.  However, new research shows that cloud formations can affect temperature and, after compiling all of the data, it seems our planet will only warm about 0.5?C by 2100.  Hardly enough to melt the poles.  In fact, we’ve dropped about that much since Al Gore released his Inconvenient Truth film.  I’d call that a normal temperature variation.

Week-In-Review »

[30 Jun 2008 | No Comment | 126 views]

Hi everyone, and welcome to the global warming hoax week-in-review.
Monday, June 23:
It seems the British aren’t convinced of the global warming hoax either, according to a recent poll.   Six in 10 Brits don’t believe in the global warming myth and many cited from the poll feel their being taxed too heavily and that all the facts aren’t on the table to make a clear decision.  Also, the author over at Read More: GoreLied.Blogspot.com dug up some temperature data that shows the globe’s temperature has actually dropped - considerably - since …

Economy »

The Netherlands has instituted an environmental tax on flights out of its airport to a destination outside the country, which amounts to about $17.75 per passenger.  About 50,000 fewer passengers are expected to use Amsterdam Schiphol airport, which is one of Europe’s busiest, due to the new environmental tax.  Way to slow the economy, global warming activists.

Name-Calling »

Excellent piece here on the bullying that takes place when the subject of global warming is at stake.  NASA scientist James Hansen is at the forefront of this controversy, calling for a high-crimes trial for those who deny global warming for endangering the lives of others.  Anyone who questions the science behind global warming are labeled deniers.  I thought skepticism in science was good.  It allows for new ideas and a better understanding of the subject.  Except when it comes to climate change.

Global Warming Hoax Lead Story, Mainstream Media »

[30 Jun 2008 | One Comment | 120 views]

I recently read an article (link no longer active) over at The Aviator Newspaper that really summed up the media coverage in this country on the global warming myth today.  It’s a chase to blame any type of weather event on global warming, regardless of whether or not it’s actually true.
I’ve said before on this blog that Hurricane Katrina was the poster child of the global warming movement in this country today.  Katrina, hardly the most powerful hurricane to strike the mainland U.S., was a category three storm when it …

Even comedian George Carlin saw through the hoax of global warming and environmentalism.  In this transcription from one of Carlin’s famous anti-global warming performances, it’s clear he understood that nature could take care of itself and has been around for four-and-a-half billion years while we humans have only been industrialized for the last two hundred.  Carlin went on to call environmentalists self-righteous for thinking that they could control the planet.  We miss that attitude around here, George.  Hope you rubbed off on enough people during your lifetime to convince others …

Methane »

[30 Jun 2008 | No Comment | 69 views]

Now that the environmentalists have started their campaign warning of the dire consequences of methane gas escaping from the arctic ice, a new report has come out that shows methane levels are, well, leveling off, even as atmospheric carbon dioxide continues to build.  I’ve posted numerous articles on technologies being developed to reduce the amount of methane emitted from livestock, but it appears this is unnecessary.

Conspiracy »

Anthony Watts has profiled a temperature station in Tucumcari, New Mexico, as being one that the others should aspire to be.  It’s out in the middle of nowhere with no city lights, asphalt, cars, air conditioning vents or brick buildings around to obstruct what should always be a natural observation of temperature.  Unfortunately, if you’ve ever visited Read More: surfacestations.org, you’ll see that many of these temperature stations are parked up next to brick buildings, along major highways or under heat exchange ducts.

Carbon Tax »

[27 Jun 2008 | No Comment | 38 views]

Premier Ed Stelmach says Alberta, Canada, will take a ‘big hit’ if taxes are levied on carbon. Home heating costs and food prices would rise as a result of the vast amounts of fuel and fertilizer used in agriculture.
