Biofuel Aid Not Reducing Carbon Emissions

The $11 billion in annual subsidies given by the United States, Europe and Canada for plant-based biofuels isn’t doing much to reduce carbon emissions according to a report by the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development.  They go on to say that carbon emissions from vehicles in areas where the subsidies are received are looking at a total carbon reduction of 0.8% by 2015.  Another failed attempt by the environmentalists to jack up food prices, starve the poor and not reduce carbon emissions.
