Adapt, Don’t Tax, Global Warming

The liberal elite that continue to push the global warming myth on anyone who will listen, as I’ve explained in the past, are only out for for your money and control over your lives.  Any possible technology that promises to solve the so-called cause of anthropogenic global warming, namely greenhouse gas emissions, are dismissed by the climate change alarmists even before they see the light of day.  And as much as the alarmists blame big oil for a lack of real innovation in renewable energy, they too are just as dismissive and unable to accept alternatives to simply taxing the problem and requiring lifestyle changes to save the world.

The truly confusing paradox with global warming activists is their intent on saving humanity from the dire effects of climate change but maintaining their belief in evolution.  And it’s not so much the evolution myth of humans being a direct product of tree-swinging monkeys, but more so the adaptive elements of evolution.  It’s survival-of-the-fittest with the evolution crowd, where the weak are killed, consumed or simply left behind in order for the strong to thrive and further their species.  With man having adapted to the heat in Africa or the Eskimo adapting to the cold in the Arctic, humans have a long history of surviving the elements.  After all, would these people not agree that man has evolved to have a “fight or flight” characteristic?

So why do climate change alarmists continue to ignore their own belief system on adapting to climate?  Even if the planet were warming (which it’s not) and storms were more frequent (which they’re not), do they not think people can take care of themselves?  Or, is this simply a war against big oil, freedom of choice and a convenient excuse to raise more federal revenue to stop climate change?  Humans can adapt.  They can move to interior parts of the world if sea levels swell.  Food will still be grown.  And cars will still be driven.  And with what little the Kyoto Protocol has done to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (practically nothing), it looks as though big government is again not in the position to offer a viable solution.  If the ice is going to melt regardless of what program is in place and is paid for by your tax dollars, why not let people keep their money and adapt to change, rather than try and fail, and still have to adapt but, this time, only poorer?

A social and fiscal conservative, I scour the news for information that disputes the current man-made global warming indoctrination that takes place around the world. I take a rather sarcastic approach to reporting on the nonsense being spewed by the talking heads in the media and the governments around the world.

Great observation. I like the Africa-Alaska reference.
