British Columbia May Raise Carbon Tax Sooner than Expected

British Columbians may be in for a tax hike if British Columbia’s Climate Action Team has their say. To meet their first carbon reduction goal in 2012, the team has suggested increasing the carbon tax as well as applying the tax to all greenhouse gas emitters, not just those burning fossil fuels. So the government in British Columbia couldn’t initially determine what it would take to slow emissions in four years but they believe more taxes will do the trick. Funny how more taxes is always the answer in a liberally- dominated government.
