Candidates’ Plans Could Indirectly Raise Gas Prices

This is just silly. McCain wants to eliminate the gas and diesel taxes during the summer driving season. Hillary wants to do the same but make the oil companies pay for it (read: wealth redistribution) and Obama? He doesn’t agree at all. However, what is agreed upon is the institution of a cap-and-trade system that will cost you more at the pump. A cap-and-trade system will force utilities to buy carbon credits for any excess greenhouse gas emissions. In the end they will pass it on to the consumer. Why have NONE of the candidates talked about ANWR or offshore drilling? Energy independence can be ours if liberal environmentalists would get out of our way.
