Global Warming Hoax Week-in-Review 06/29/2008
Hi everyone, and welcome to the global warming hoax week-in-review.
Monday, June 23:
It seems the British aren’t convinced of the global warming hoax either, according to a recent poll. Six in 10 Brits don’t believe in the global warming myth and many cited from the poll feel their being taxed too heavily and that all the facts aren’t on the table to make a clear decision. Also, the author over at Read More: GoreLied.Blogspot.com dug up some temperature data that shows the globe’s temperature has actually dropped - considerably - since Al Gore’s film An Inconvenient Truth was released, to the tune of 0.58?C. Funny how nature has a way of making you look ignorant.
Tuesday, June 24:
NASA scientist James Hansen was back in the news on Tuesday, claiming that we must get our planet’s carbon dioxide level back to 1988 levels else we face “mass extinction, ecosystem collapse and dramatic sea level increases.” From what I’ve observed, scientists can’t even agree upon a date to which we need to reduce our carbon dioxide levels. 1990? 1995? 1988? 1998? 1970? Pick one. Also, a Texas politician has determined that the incandescent light bulb ban may be unconstitutional. While the bright idea of banning our common and inexpensive bulbs was surely hatched by an environmentalist, it seems Congress doesn’t have the authority to ban a product that has been used safely for well over 100 years. Zing!
Wednesday, June 25:
Ontario is experiencing an infestation of army worms. Usually the warm weather causes them to retreat, but the cold weather experienced in Canada has allowed them to flourish. What? Cold weather? Global warming had better hurry to Canada so it can save the day. Global warming science isn’t green, it’s yellow according to this article. It seems researchers studying the global warming hoax have raked in an estimated $50 billion in grants using yellow science, a method of using observations of historical events rather than testable hypotheses.
Thursday, June 26:
Madison Wisconsin is considering legislation to ban drive-thrus. That’s right! No more sitting in long lines at your favorite fast food restaurant waiting for your breakfast sandwich and coffee. The reason? Too many carbon emissions, resulting in global warming. Also, British Columbia is set to institute a global warming tax on July 1st, which could have serious implications for the poor and those on a fixed income and home heating costs and gasoline prices will increase. So much for looking out for the poor and the needy, liberals.
Friday, June 27:
A shocking new revelation came down the news wires on Friday: the Arctic may be completely ice-free this summer. Global warming has finally caught up with us, and any new ice created recently is too thin to withstand the warmth of the summer months. Nevermind that Arctic ice concentrations are exactly the same over at 28 year period.
That’s all, folks! Enjoy your week!
