It seems the committee that’s putting together the Democratic National Convention hasn’t been paying federal and state gas tax for the last four months while in Denver. While the committee is a non-profit organization, non-profits aren’t exempt from paying those taxes. So while liberal Democrats are pushing desperately for carbon-cutting legistation (read: future carbon tax), they themselves fail to pay existing gasoline taxes.
