In the first election in Britain to be decided on environmental issues, the candidate who ran a “green campaign” to tout his strict environmental policies lost overwhelmingly to Boris Johnson, a conservative candidate.  Quote from another one of Tom Nelson’s posts on the same topic:  ”Livingstone says that after Bush leaves office, Boris Johnson would be ‘the most high profile politician anywhere in the English-speaking world still in denial [over global warming].’”  Wow.  Is he a little upset that he lost?  Or do Englishmen not take defeat like men?
