If Global Warming Hoaxers Truly Believed In Their Cause…
All this discussion in the blogosphere about the McCain-Lieberman-Warner bill has me thinking about what true global warming hoaxers should push: a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
But wait! They are pushing for carbon dioxide emissions, right? To a point, yes. But not wholly. Let me explain.
The current iteration of proposed legislation in the United States pushes for a cap-and-trade system, which allocates so many carbon credits to those who emit greenhouse gases. Once the budget has been met, the entity must buy more credits or stop emissions. But what about those, like Al Gore, that perpetrate the global warming hoax on the world? What will those people - we’ll call them the elite - do to stop global warming? If we all must sacrifice to save the planet, how will these people help?
Unfortunately for us, the rich and elite only have to open their checkbooks to pay for their carbon-emitting lifestyles. There is no sacrifice, short of money, that these people feel compelled to undergo. As much as the Democrats decry the class system in the United States, the cap-and-trade system will only continue the trend, providing money to the government and forcing the poor to make choices on how they will survive.
How about a carbon emission reduction plan that forces all, regardless of social and economic status, to sacrifice for the world? If the average American emits x metric tons of carbon dioxide per year, let’s make everyone abide by that rule, with no exceptions.
Politicians and Lear-jet liberals are pulling the wool over our eyes. It’s the poor and the middle class that must make true sacrifices to save the world. If global warming hoaxers truly believed in their cause, they would sacrifice their lifestyles to save the planet. And that’s just not happening. And it won’t happen for as long as they have a built-in exception to the rule.
