Federal Grants Given for Regional Climate Change Studies

Higher education systems in Nevada have received a $15 million federal grant to study regional effects of climate change.  The state will team up with New Mexico and Idaho, which also received federal funds for the study.  Desert Research Institute, University of Nevada, Reno, University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Nevada State College will analyze and model the effects of regional climate change on the ecosystem and water resources, according to the article.
