President-elect Barack Obama is purportedly lining up a $850 billion stimulus to create jobs and bolster the economy once he takes office. Minnesota officials see this as an opportunity to use the federal cash to pay for pork barrel projects. Among them, a polar bear exhibit, $6 million for snowmaking equipment and a $9 million dollar “green learning” renovation to a library in St. Paul.
