Apple Macs, OS X Go Green

Although I am a Mac convert from early 2006 with my first Intel-based iMac and several additions to the Mac family over the years, I’ve always been dismayed at Al Gore’s presence on the board of directors at Apple.  Nonetheless, I love my Mac, even if Apple is buying the green movement.  There’s even a new update to System Preferences.  The old energy saver icon that was depicted by an incandescent bulb has been replaced by a CFL bulb.  Just be careful if you drag it to the trash on your dock - you don’t want the mercury in the bulb to leak.

    Hey, my intel Mac running leopard shows the regular bulb. You got a screenshot to show people?? Command + Shift + 4, draw your selection, and click. :) Thanks.

    Click through the link at the bottom of the article and it’ll take you to the source article with the new pic. This new icon is only applicable to the new Macbooks/Pros released by Apple this week.
