Earth Hour crashes to Earth

Earth Hour, a time last Friday when people were encouraged to turn out the lights to save the planet, had a nearly zero impact on use of electricity. The overall impact was something akin to removing six cars off the road for a year. The conclusion that I draw from this is that either (a) humans really don’t have as much impact on the environment as originally thought or (b) no one thinks global warming is a true crisis. Maybe it’s a little of both.
