Olympics Gone Too Far: Eco-Friendly Celebrations in China

Global warming has made it at least halfway around the world.  The 2008 Olympics will kick off with a different kind of celebration - a green one, according to this Daily Mail article.  Chinese officials will introduce “green” fireworks that are more environmentally-friendly than the standard fare.  As one commenter on the article put it, since when does one of the world’s biggest emitters of carbon dioxide care about the environment?
