Tree Ring Theory Full of Hot Air

For years, scientists have measured oxygen isotopes in tree rings to determine temperature during a given period.  A new scientific study, however, has determined that the inside of leaves, where photosynthesis occurs, stays at a constant temperature of 71?F and is unaffected by outside temperatures as scientists have thought for so long.  Say bye-bye to Al Gore’s hockey stick graph!
