Al Gore can’t catch a break these days. After riding a wave of rising global temperatures for the last 25 years of the 20th century, the globe has made an abrupt shift in its climate without intervention from those pesky humans that supposedly cause all the warming in the first place.
The solar wind is now 20% weaker than it was only a decade ago. This permits more cosmic rays to reach the earth’s surface, which creates more clouds that block the sun’s rays and, in turn, cools the …

(Via The Secret Person).  In this article from the Telegraph, the deceit, manipulation and lies around the global warming myth come to light.  Originally, the International Panel on Climate Change touted a graph that included a period of time in the past where the planet’s temperatures were warmer than today - without the existence of anthropogenic sources of carbon dioxide emissions.  Soon afterwards, US physicist Michael Mann came forward with his graph, now known infamously as the hockey stick, which eliminated the Medieval Warm Period altogether and only depicted warming …

The NOAA claims that the summer of 2008 was the ninth warmest on record.  However, according to this article at Watts Up With That, the satellite temperature measurements dispute this claim.  The NOAA claims the summer of 2008 saw temperatures at 0.85 degrees Fahrenheit above the 20th century mean of 60.1 degrees Fahrenheit.

By James Nash
A recent poll of 530 climatologists in 27 countries showed 34.7 percent of interviewees endorsed the notion that a substantial part of the current global warming trend - which might see temperatures rise by a degree or two, on average, by century ’s end - is caused by man ’s industrial activities: driving cars and the like.
More than a fifth - 20.5 percent - rejected this “anthropogenic hypothesis.” Half were undecided. The skeptics now include the 85 climate experts who signed the 1995 Leipzig Declaration; the …

Author of this post provides examples of many organizations that feel there is no basis for man-made global warming. While the global temperatures may have moved upward in the 20th century, there is far from a consensus on the matter.

Week-In-Review »

[15 Jun 2008 | No Comment | 156 views]

Hi everyone and welcome to the week-that-was in global warming hoax news!  I hope everyone took a moment to visit or remember their father on this Father’s Day in the U.S.
Sunday, June 8th:
When you think of socialism, do images of China and the former Soviet Union come to mind?  Believe it or not, it’s slowing coming to the United States as environmentalists push for more control in government.  The recently defeated Lieberman-Warner bill debated in the U.S. Senate is one example where environmentalists are pushing their agenda for control through …

The United States experienced the 36th coolest spring on record since tracking began in 1895 and the 34th coolest May on record.  Our spring temperature was 0.5 degrees F below the 20th century average and the May temperature was 0.7 degrees F below the 20th century mean.

The planet has cooled more than 0.7 degrees in 16 months, which is more than the entire net warming of the 20th century.  There is no rethinking of the science or updates to the models, although it’s pretty obvious to everyone involved that they are wrong.  No admission from the Gore crowd on defeat.  Instead, more cap-and-trade schemes are being cooked and more taxes are being drawn from your bank accounts to pay for this fictitious, and environmentally-harmless, “crisis”.

Our sun is still devoid of sunspots, at a time during its cycle when it should have them. While the 20th century was a period of solar maximum, the planet hasn’t warmed since 1998 - and the sunspots have reduced in number. While global warming could increase agricultural output, a cooling world will not. It’s time to make plans now for global cooling instead of global warming.

Interesting analysis of global temperatures over the last several centuries. Not only did the planet warm by about 0.5 degrees Celsius in the 20th century, but it warmed by the same amount in the 19th and 18th centuries as well. Even the IPCC admitted in their 2001 report that there’s no real link between temperatures and gases from anthropogenic origins.
