Andrew Bolt of the Herald Sun has a great challenge for Al Gore: get a new poster. The poster for An Inconvenient Truth preyed on fears of intensifying hurricanes thanks to global warming. But that theory is unfounded, even if Bill Clinton and Al Gore believe it. Hurricanes are down remarkably in the last two years, even as carbon emissions continue to build in the atmosphere.

Al Gore, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »

[10 Nov 2008 | No Comment | 386 views]

Al Gore had an editorial piece printed in the New York times today.  It’s full of typical environmentalist talking points but only half of the truth is provided.  Follow along as I share my comments (in bold) under each of Gore’s paragraphs (in italics) so help break down the truth from the hyperbole.  While I’ll only excerpt parts of the opinion piece, the entire op-ed can be read by following the link at the bottom of this post.

The atmosphere may now contain about 5400 metric tons of greenhouse gases, according to American scientists, and that number may be climbing by 11% per year.  Now, here are my two questions (and thanks, scientists, for letting this cat out of the bag):  one, if greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are 400% more than originally anticipated, why are planetary temperatures plummeting?  And two, if science is able to estimate temperature increases worldwide to within a fraction of a degree, how did you miss that greenhouse gases were 400% what you …

A professor at Stanford University named Brent Constantz has invented green cement that could absorb carbon dioxide emissions.  The cement creates no carbon dioxide in its creation and will actually absorb atmospheric carbon in itself.  Anyone want to guess when global warming activists will shoot this idea down like they’ve done with carbon scrubbers here, here and here?

Disputing Global Warming »

[20 Oct 2008 | No Comment | 54 views]

Recently, I posted an article on how glaciers are now growing in Alaska all thanks in part, I’m sure, to global warming that just seems to cause everything now whether good or bad.  However, TigerHawk has some key information here on just how long glaciers in Alaska have been melting.  Turns out we’ve only been pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere for close to one hundred years - and that’s a stretch, but glaciers in Alaska have been melting for 200 years.  Man-made global warming?  Farce.

Trees »

[2 Oct 2008 | One Comment | 30 views]

The Gore Lied blog, as always, provides some particularly biting commentary on a plan hatched in Oregon to plant trees to save the planet.  While this concept isn’t very new, the motive behind it is:  plant trees to suck up carbon from the atmosphere and have it stored naturally in trees and make money while doing so.  Anyone want to place bets on which global warming activist has already bought a bunch of tree-worthy property in Oregon?  Click the link for the entire article with comment from the editor of …

New software developed for cellular phones by a London-based start-up uses global positioning satellites to determine if you’re walking, driving or flying and can calculate your carbon footprint based on the results.  So the next time you care about whether or not you’re spewing too much greenhouse gas into the atmosphere, just reach into your pocket and fire up this application.

NAS reports that we are in a 50 million year cooling trend thanks to plate tectonics. Original carbon-rich sea floor that was pushed under tectonics plates that came into the atmosphere as carbon through volcanic eruptions, which warmed the planet, was suddenly shut off 50 million years ago when India collided with Eurasia, forcing India’s plate over the zone that was the previous source of carbon.

From the American Thinker:  the solar winds have died down considerably and are at a level not seen in 50 years.  With the planet continuing to cool, it’s becoming more and more evident that the sun does have an impact on the environment.  But with this new information from NASA, if the planet continues to cool further because of increased cloud formation caused by the thinning heliosphere allowing more cosmic rays into the atmosphere, does this call for an official end of the global warming myth?

Global Warming Hoax Lead Story, Hurricanes »

[24 Sep 2008 | No Comment | 231 views]

I recently read an article over at the Duke Chronicle that discussed the link between global warming and hurricanes and, more importantly, the inability to link global warming and hurricanes.  The article says that Hurricane Ike reignited the debate of whether or not a link exists between hurricanes and climate change.  Having done my own study on the connection between tropical systems and temperature, I can tell you that I didn’t see any connection.  Activists, however, see things differently.  Al Gore recently tried to link the two, citing higher temperatures …
