Time once again for this week’s edition of the Daily Bayonet’s Global Warming Hoax Week-in-Review. This week’s version promises to be one of the best yet. Here’s a preview of what you’ll read:
Now that the global warming hoaxers have charged deniers with being funded by big oil, Canada’s own David Suzuki is claiming anti-wind folks are funded by big nuclear.
Warming zealots around the world are celebrating the Obama win this week in the U.S. But I thought global warming was about science and not politics?

Carbon Tax »
Here’s a great analysis of the carbon tax instituted in British Columbia back on July 1st of this year. While the tax is designed to give some of the revenue back to the citizens, it nets out to about $40 per household. However, as the tax increases over time, there are no provisions to increase the amount people receive in credits.

This is just the kind of shifty tactic I can see a tax proponent using to manipulate polling numbers. A true study on the human psyche. If the recent elections in Canada were any indication, its citizens aren’t interested in a carbon tax. However, this article from the Globe and Mail takes a different approach. A poll was taken that rephrased the question to make the carbon tax seem, well, more like a basket of bunnies than a hungry leopard. 2000 people surveyed were asked if they supported a tax …

Great perspective on the global warming myth from the Progressive Conservative up in Canada. He feels that the whole global warming nonsense is just a cover for anti-capitalist activities that target the west - specifically, the U.S. and Canada. And he asks a great question: why does oil barron Hugo Chavez continue to get praise for his oil production while we are lambasted here in North America for our efforts to do the same?

David Suzuki, a 72 year-old climate change activist, attended the Flick Off event at Ottawa’s Confederation Park on Saturday to speak with youth about taking action on global warming. The free event featured band performances and speakers. And while Suzuki called on 100,000 Canadian youth to mobilize as that number would get the government’s attention, only 300 showed up at the event. 99,700 Canadian youth to go, 99,700 Canadian youth…you take one in, indoctrinate him, 99,699 Canadian youth to go…

Right on schedule, it’s the Global Warming Hoax Round-Up brought to you by The Daily Bayonet.
In this edition, you’ll find lots of linkage from our self-described snarky friend, like Al Gore blaming Iowa floods on anthropogenic global warming. But I thought global warming had to be viewed over lots of time and not relegated to individual events, Mr. Ex-Veep?
Michigan has been voted #1 in greening its economy. And it has nothing to do from the green provided by the feds for the bailout.
Tom Nelson picks on a titanic supporter of …

I’m glad I don’t live in Canada. I’m sure it’s a beautiful country, but its leaders are like Al Gore times 10. In an exchange between Stephane Dion and Richard Madan recently, Dion was asked if he would implement his carbon tax plan even in the face of a recession. His response was quite standoffish, refusing to call his plan a carbon tax but rather the Green Shift. Dion refused to delay his Green “carbon tax” Shift due to a recession because it would be good for the economy.

Liberals in Canada are playing word shuffle games with the citizens of that country. Terms like “revenue-neutral” flutter about, giving taxpayers a false idea while raking in billions for the Canadian government. Some people assume that if a carbon tax is revenue neutral, each tax dollar collected will be returned dollar-for-dollar to the individual paying the tax and that the government sees no net income from the proceeds. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Like many other government tax-and-give programs, this is nothing more than …

Ontario’s Liberal finance minister, Dwight Duncan, said yesterday that implementing a carbon tax now, under threat of economic uncertainty, would be a mistake. Duncan went on to say that implementing massive shifts in tax burdens is not something that should be undertaken during instances of shaky economic times.

Rain »
I guess this is why global warming has been renamed to climate change. More rain has been predicted as a consequence of climate change. James Bruce, a Canadian climate change expert, says that rain events may double in Canada around the end of the century and that changes in the environment are more disastrous than that predicted by the IPCC. I suppose the 9% increase in Arctic ice this year, the Antarctic ice growing over the last 20 years, record snowfall and cold temperatures in places around the world last …
