British Coal-fired power plant company Drax has had its profits plunge by almost half as it now has to pay carbon credits for being the largest single carbon polluting station. Drax spent 107 million pounds this year under the European emissions trading scheme when carbon allocations were reduced. The company paid about 11 [...]
Posted in Carbon Tax, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story on 5 August 2008
Most of you that are skeptical of global warming see the explicit lifestyle choices being forced in your personal lives from new compact fluorescent light bulbs that contain mercury (and cost much more) to expensive gasoline that can be traced back to lack of action by environmentalists and the Democrats who love them. But did [...]

WIth the Congressional recess underway, at least for Democrats, and a whirlwind book tour for Pelosi, Michelle Malkin has performed a carbon footprint calculation for Pelosi based on her expected book tour over the next few days. Well, sort of. Connecticut Governor Jodi Rell announced that she wants an amendment to the 10-state greenhouse reduction plan enacted in 2005. She wants portions of the sale of carbon credits set aside to help tax payers during the current depressed economy to pay for the basics, like electricity and food. But, she only wants [...]

Some great analogies about carbon credits here. In essence, jet-setting “environmentalists” are able to emit as many carbon credits as they desire while purchasing carbon credits, which are a promise for others to pay for their bad habits. As I’ve said before, if environmentalists were truly concerned about the environment, they’d cut their emissions to [...]
