I recently read a comment on the Internet from a global warming activist that presented that exact same connotation. If global warming turns out to be a myth, so what? The narrow-mindedness and intense focus of climate change proponents on one issue, global warming, has the potential to cause massive economic failures globally. The lack [...]

MSNBC and CNN are both confirming Bayh to not be Obama’s pick for Vice Presidential candidate. Guess we’ll have to wait until Barack sends out the text message tomorrow.
Evan Bayh, the expected Vice Presidential candidate pick of Barack Obama, has a very pro-global warming anti-energy independence record in the US [...]

A recent study reinforced the doubt of the link between carbon dioxide and temperatures, but are rising temperatures and carbon emissions a bad thing? More plant growth is certainly a benefit.

The author of this post makes a very valid point. In all the concern about reducing carbon dioxide emissions that really do no harm to the environment, where are the calls for reducing true pollution which causes smog, which is estimated to kill hundreds of thousands over the [...]

Interesting analysis here which mimics what I’ve been saying for quite some time. If Al Gore (and his fellow alarmists) truly believed in their cause, they’d take action to reduce their own carbon footprint rather than paying someone else to do it through the purchase of carbon offsets. Since carbon dioxide is so [...]

(H/T: Blog at the End of Time). Another silly idea has been proposed by scientists that just don’t seem to grasp scale. Lime can be added to the oceans to increase their ability to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The problem is that (a) the oceans are huge and this [...]

Most of you that are skeptical of global warming see the explicit lifestyle choices being forced in your personal lives from new compact fluorescent light bulbs that contain mercury (and cost much more) to expensive gasoline that can be traced back to lack of action by environmentalists and the Democrats who love them. But did [...]

Update #2: Looks like some new practices will be instituted at the Mauna Loa Observatory thanks in part to Anthony Watts.

Update: The Mauna Loa Observatory had a computer disc crash and they lost their data. The original data posted didn’t include all of the data, hence the lower-than-expected carbon dioxide levels.

The graphed [...]

Two chemists are developing a method by which carbon dioxide can be recycled and used in a variety of plastics. While this method won’t completely eliminate the amount of carbon dioxide in the air, it will go a long way in helping fix global warming.
One problem here: environmentalists hate plastic. Expect this to be another [...]

Mauna Loa, one of the observatories used for measuring carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, has recorded something that’s never been witnessed before: carbon dioxide levels in July were below where they were in January. While a drop in carbon dioxide from January to July appears seasonal, it’s never produced a negative delta in the past. [...]
