New software developed for cellular phones by a London-based start-up uses global positioning satellites to determine if you’re walking, driving or flying and can calculate your carbon footprint based on the results. So the next time you care about whether or not you’re spewing too much greenhouse gas into the atmosphere, just reach into your pocket and fire up this application.

Time for this week’s installment of The Daily Bayonet’s Global Warming Hoax Weekly Round-Up for September 26th, 2008. This week, The Daily Bayonet pays homage to Steven Milloy of Junk Science (Read More: JunkScience.com). This is something I should do, too, so thanks for the linkage on your blog page, Steven!! But now, down to business.
Al Gore made an entry on his blog earlier this week defending the Michael Mann hockey stick graph, even though it’s been recently debunked by a couple of fellows from Canada.

As if reducing our meat consumption wasn’t enough to stave off global warming, a new edict has been handed down that insists that we stop eating breakfast cereal because of the carbon footprint created from its manufacture. We’ll be down to eating grass soon, folks, which you’ll have to fertilize yourself…if you know what I mean.

Indoctrination »
The state of Vermont is holding a competition between schools to determine which can reduce their contribution to global warming the most. Among the daily tasks to reduce carbon footprints undertaken by the students: bringing lunch in reusable containers and taking shorter showers. Government-mandated indoctrination at its finest!

Time now for the latest installment of The Daily Bayonet’s Global Warming Hoax Weekly Round-Up. In this edition, find out the results of David Suzuki’s attempt to price trees and measure the carbon footprint of Canada’s political parties. In addition, Greenpeace vandals were acquitted this week in the U.K., but why? What did James Hansen do to make Anthony Watts call for his termination? Learn more inconvenient truths about the polar ice caps and how the greens just don’t support green technologies. Plus, my favorite global warming hottie makes a …
Economy, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »
I recently read a comment on the Internet from a global warming activist that presented that exact same connotation. If global warming turns out to be a myth, so what? The narrow-mindedness and intense focus of climate change proponents on one issue, global warming, has the potential to cause massive economic failures globally. The lack of care, comprehension, or both with regard to anthropogenic climate change and the impact of measures designed to counteract it is completely immoral.
Global warming activists have one item on their agenda: stop climate change at …

A Mile HIgh Music Festival recently held in Colorado was billed as being green, but was anything but green. Drinks were sold in recyclable plastic cups, but those who attended the event simply threw them to the ground without recycling them. Those working the recycling centers at the event were reduced to just picking up garbage. Attendees were asked to donate $7.50 each to offset their carbon footprint, with the proceeds going to a windmill that is not currently operational.

Al Gore »
Interesting analysis here which mimics what I’ve been saying for quite some time. If Al Gore (and his fellow alarmists) truly believed in their cause, they’d take action to reduce their own carbon footprint rather than paying someone else to do it through the purchase of carbon offsets. Since carbon dioxide is so terrible for the planet, shouldn’t every little bit help?

WIth the Congressional recess underway, at least for Democrats, and a whirlwind book tour for Pelosi, Michelle Malkin has performed a carbon footprint calculation for Pelosi based on her expected book tour over the next few days. While I won’t give the answer here, let’s just say Nancy should invest in some of Al Gore’s carbon credits to offset that not-so-conservative approach to saving the planet.

Carbon Tax »
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said earlier today that Stephane Dion’s carbon tax is not in place to lower Canada’s carbon footprint but, instead, is being used as an additional revenue stream for the Canadian government. Harper continued to say that the tax will not be temporary and will not be revenue neutral if you base this tax on other historical taxes, which have never been either of those two things.
