China’s extremely restrictive family planning policies have prevented the births of 250 million people since they were implemented in the year 2000. In addition, a total of 300 million births have been prevented since 1979, when China’s one-child policy was enacted. Since fewer people means less demand for energy, Christopher Horner (author of “Red Hot Lies”) said recently on Glenn Beck’s show that the country now has carbon credits to sell because of all of the children killed through abortion and female infanticide. Beck came up with …

The Hawaii Reporter has some bona fide arguments against instituting climate action plans in the United States. The biggest complaint here is that, over the next several decades, developing countries will surpass the United States in carbon emissions, rendering our plans ineffective against countries like China and India. Unless these countries are willing to take the same approach to carbon reduction, the total carbon output around the world is just going to climb, no matter how many light bulbs you change.

Week-In-Review »
Time now for the latest edition of The Daily Bayonet’s Global Warming Hoax Week-in-Review. In this week’s post, you can read about the following:
Is Al Gore an extortionist?
Tom Nelson ponders the question: why aren’t ocean levels a foot higher?
Two words: Alicia Silverstone. But she’s a little short of a picnic.
The WWF is calling for a second planet because we use too many resources on one.
China demands that the west pay for climate change measures. Like I need another tax.
Someone has developed carbon taxes …

It seems socialism is running rampant this week. Chinese officials recently remarked that rich countries should shoulder the load of paying for initiatives and cover poorer nations in the fight against global warming. So it’s not enough that rich countries, specifically the United States, send foreign aid in the form of cash, food and military support to third-world nations, but now we have to pick up the tab for helping them reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Wonderful.

(Via Politico). Obama’s Vice Presidential pick Joe Biden was asked by a supporter of solar and wind energy at a recent stop in Ohio if he supported both solar and wind. Biden said yes, and went on to say that he was the first to introduce global warming legislation and the first to support solar power. He also said there will be no coal plants built in the United States (how are you going to power the country, Joe???) and, if they’re going to be built, they should be built …
Economy, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »
I recently read a comment on the Internet from a global warming activist that presented that exact same connotation. If global warming turns out to be a myth, so what? The narrow-mindedness and intense focus of climate change proponents on one issue, global warming, has the potential to cause massive economic failures globally. The lack of care, comprehension, or both with regard to anthropogenic climate change and the impact of measures designed to counteract it is completely immoral.
Global warming activists have one item on their agenda: stop climate change at …
Disputing Global Warming »
China recent experienced the coldest winter in 100 years. Arctic ice refuses to melt, even though it has been predicted by scientists. Alaska is on track for the Cookedt summer since 1930. And the sunspots won’t return, leading to a cooler planet.

They’re starving back in China, so finish what you got, or so said John Lennon many years ago. Today, Lennon may have reworked those lyrics to tell us we’re causing global warming, so finish what you got. We’ll never know, but a study found that Americans waste approximately 27% of food and all but 2% goes in landfills which releases methane gas as it decomposes. So be fat and happy, my friends. Finish everything …

More analysis from Alan Caruba: India and China have both not considered measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in an effort to stave off global warming. India has flat-out refused while China hasn’t shown any public interest in following the Al Gore movement.

Global warming has made it at least halfway around the world. The 2008 Olympics will kick off with a different kind of celebration - a green one, according to this Daily Mail article. Chinese officials will introduce “green” fireworks that are more environmentally-friendly than the standard fare. As one commenter on the article put it, since when does one of the world’s biggest emitters of carbon dioxide care about the environment?
