Welcome everyone to the week that was in global warming news.
Sunday, June 1:
Hurricane forecasters have predicted a very active season for hurricanes with 15 tropical storms, eight hurricanes and a 69% chance that one will strike the U.S. mainland. This hurricane season is predicted to be 160% of average. I’m glad that they’re usually wrong.

Good morning, folks, and welcome to the Global Warming Week-in-Review.
Sunday, May 11th:
10ksnookers.blogspot.com provided some interesting commentary on carbon credits and the cap-and-trade system, saying that it’s just a government-sanctioned ration on goods and services? How? Time Magazine recently reported in the Clean Energy Scam that rain forests were disappearing at an alarming rate, thanks to biofuel use. The sad part about biofuels is that they are less efficient than regular gasoline and release more emissions than traditional fuel. Last year, the United States produced seven billion gallons of biofuel, which cost taxpayers around eight billion dollars, according to the Time Magazine article. …

Last week, voters in London ousted the city’s mayor after a reelection campaign based heavily on environmentalism. Tired of high taxes and not seeing a rise in the standard of living, citizens voted with their hearts and threw out the left-leaning environmentalist mayor. Prime Minister Gordon Brown has now taken measures to reduce existing environmental taxes and even eliminate proposed fuel taxes to stave off the revolt.
