Good morning, folks, and welcome to the Global Warming Week-in-Review.
Sunday, May 11th:
10ksnookers.blogspot.com provided some interesting commentary on carbon credits and the cap-and-trade system, saying that it’s just a government-sanctioned ration on goods and services? How? Both systems limit the total amount of greenhouse gas that can be emitted into the atmosphere, which results in a limit of how much of a good or service can be produced without going over that limit. Remember the gas lines of the 1970’s? If this keeps up, expect to see lines for more than …

Welcome to the Global Warming Week-In-Review! I hope everyone will take a few minutes out of their day to call, visit or remember their mother today as we celebrate Mother’s Day here in the U.S. Now, let’s get down to business.
Sunday, May 4th:
A new threat was unveiled Sunday as scientists determined that recent shark attacks were brought on by none other than global warming. While this theory sounds good to those pushing the global warming agenda, I wonder how long it will take before any bad situation is …

Presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama are both cooling to biofuel use as food prices skyrocket and the dire predictions of global warming fail to materialize, even as the planet’s carbon dioxide levels continue to increase. Michigan received it’s deepest snowfall in 50 years and some of the Great Lakes are near record high water levels. While this may only be a temporary measure just for electability, let’s hold these candidates to their words come …
Al Gore, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »
Amid a frenzy of news reports covering backlash over skyrocketing food prices due to the corn-based ethanol boondoggle, the global warming hoax could be in trouble.
Time Magazine recently reported in the Clean Energy Scam that rain forests were disappearing at an alarming rate, thanks to biofuel use. The sad part about biofuels is that they are less efficient than regular gasoline and release more emissions than traditional fuel. Last year, the United States produced seven billion gallons of biofuel, which cost taxpayers around eight billion dollars, according to the Time Magazine article. …

When will the media expose Gore’s connection to the biofuel debacle? With residents of El Salvador only eating half as much as a year ago and Afghans now spending half their incomes on food, it’s time to turn off the global warming hoax machine and get food prices down. How could someone, like Gore, who preaches morality with regard to global warming fail to realize the moral responsibility of feeding the poor?

Republican senators are pressuring the EPA to back off the ethanol mandate, citing increased food prices. A spokesperson for the farmers association said this was a bad idea (of course) because increased food prices are a result of increased oil prices, not agriculture.

Olivier de Schutter, new U.N.’s new top advisor wants biofuel investments halted due to the rapid rise in food prices caused by their use in alternative forms of fuel. He said 100 million of the poorest people in the world are impacted by the skyrocketing food prices and called the biofuel program initiated by Europe and the United States irresponsible. He went on to say that the biofuel rush was a “scandal that only serves the interests of a tiny lobby”.

The Washington Post published an article on Wednesday that noted the real reason for skyrocketing food prices and soaring demand: corn-based ethanol. A farmer interviewed for the article claims that he’s receiving $5.50 per bushel of corn, which is about the double what he received two years ago. He says that instead of loading up the corn harvest on a truck for export, he takes it down to an ethanol distillery that he can see from his property where it is turned into ethanol for vehicles. In addition to the …
Disputing Global Warming »
Fox News opinion piece on the global warming hoax. Now that climatologists have determined that the planet won’t warm due to “Mother Nature”, can we call off the global warming hoax now? With temperatures not warming since the El Nino-induced 1998, I think it’s time we put the global warming myth to bed once and for all and demand that Al Gore and his environmentalist minions stop fleecing the world through high food prices (thanks to …

Finally the Democrats are waking up to the problem they caused due to the global warming hoax: soaring food prices and starvation from ethanol mandates. Thanks to most of the liberals, and some of the conservatives, including President Bush, who signed a mandate to increase ethanol use, the poor can no longer afford food and riots are happening in the streets of countries across the globe. Corn, the most-used ingredient in ethanol, has risen in price from $2 a bushel to $6 a bushel over the last three years. Corn …
