Alternative Fuel Sources »

It’s funny how speculation really does drive the price of oil skyward.  Having failed to convert the masses to green technologies, I’m sure the environmentalists are pulling their hair out over the second largest dollar value drop in oil today after President Bush ended a ban on offshore drilling.  The move, which still has to clear a hurdle in Congress, sent a clear signal to oil traders that the United States is back and we’re tired of paying $4 or more per gallon of gasoline.  What a proud day to …

Hi everyone, and welcome to the global warming hoax week-in-review.
Monday, June 23:
It seems the British aren’t convinced of the global warming hoax either, according to a recent poll.   Six in 10 Brits don’t believe in the global warming myth and many cited from the poll feel their being taxed too heavily and that all the facts aren’t on the table to make a clear decision.  Also, the author over at Read More: GoreLied.Blogspot.com dug up some temperature data that shows the globe’s temperature has actually dropped - considerably - since …

Carbon Tax »

It seems the revenue-neutral carbon tax proposed by Stephane Dion isn’t really all that revenue-neutral to those paying the tax.  The excise taxes that are being reduced in lieu of the carbon tax are only effectively dropping the tax rates for each bracket less than two percent, or a savings of about $600 per year.  The carbon tax is applicable to propane, gasoline and heating oil.

Hi everyone, and welcome to the global warming hoax week-in-review.
Monday, June 16th:
While Canada and the United States continue to push for more government regulation over carbon emissions, the socialist country China is doing the right thing:  nothing.  The Chinese government refuses to bow to the global warming activists and is refusing to implement greenhouse gas emissions legislation over fears of stifling their economy.  For once, the socialists are getting it right.  Also, a hat tip to Read More: GlobalWarmingHoax.com for bringing up an article on satellite data of the Arctic from …

Government Intervention »

[20 Jun 2008 | No Comment | 33 views]

The Democrats are going to push the government to take ownership of, and control, refineries in the United States in an effort to better control the flow of oil.  That’s right!  The government thinks they can do a better job of managing something when compared to private enterprise.  To put this in perspective, Social Security is set to go bankrupt in my lifetime, Hillary’s healthcare went down in flames and we’re still refining special gasoline blends in the summer to satisfy the environmentalists.  Let’s all give a Big No Thank …

With gasoline at or above $4.00 per gallon, the President is calling for a lift on the offshore drilling ban to ease prices at the pump. As more Americans become weary of high fuel costs, their inclination to save the planet could take a back seat to lower gas prices, and that means little support for a carbon tax. Sorry, Al Gore.

Commentary, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »

[6 Jun 2008 | One Comment | 238 views]

While many on the environmental left continue to sing the praises of Al Gore and his global warming hoax, those of higher intellect have abandoned the myth.  As with many great left-leaning government tax-and-control schemes, even though the supposed crisis is over, supporters still feel the need to continue pushing legislation to fight global warming.  After all, it’s about control and greed.  Here are some of the ideas I’ve gathered from liberal hubs around the internet after accepting that global warming is a myth:
1.  Pollution is still bad.  Yes, pollution …

Business groups in Canada are blasting proposed carbon taxes. They cite already struggling industry due to high gas prices. They feel gas taxes should be lowered and the government to find ways to reduce gasoline consumption without tax hikes.

The McCain-Lieberman-Warner bill to introduce legislation fighting global warming is set for debate in the U.S. Senate starting today.  Tell your senators to vote against this egregious bill that will only hurt the economy by causing more inflation.  A recent poll found 65% of Americans oppose spending any more on gasoline in efforts to stop global warming.
