Global warming has suffered another great defeat as two propositions in California related to green initiatives were struck down by voters. Specifically, Proposition 7 would have required utilities to generate 40% of their power from renewable energy by 2020 and 50% by 2025. Proposition 10 would have created $5 billion in bond money to help consumers purchase vehicles with high fuel economy or that ran on alternative fuels. Both propositions were defeated handily in the state.

Carbon Tax, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »
The liberal elite that continue to push the global warming myth on anyone who will listen, as I’ve explained in the past, are only out for for your money and control over your lives. Any possible technology that promises to solve the so-called cause of anthropogenic global warming, namely greenhouse gas emissions, are dismissed by the climate change alarmists even before they see the light of day. And as much as the alarmists blame big oil for a lack of real innovation in renewable energy, they too are just as …

Thanks to Barack Obama’s belief in the global warming myth, he plans to implement a cap-and-trade system that will, what he says, force the price of electricity to skyrocket. Will taxpayers in America be forced to assist those unable to pay their heating bill? Under what could be a very socialist agenda, it’s very possible. Remember, he wants to spread YOUR wealth, if elected.

The IPCC released a report in September stating that historical views of the planet’s hydrological systems are no longer valid as we’re seeing dead zones where none were predicted. With the planet no longer warming and Arctic ice on the rise, can we go ahead and call all models based on historical record busted, too?

Swans expected to return to the U.K. last week are staying put in Siberia where global warming has made it a warm haven, according to this article from Bob’s Bites. About 300 swans were due to return to Britain’s Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre on October 21 but the unusually warm Arctic weather is so warm that they’ve decided to say. The swans have been late by several days in the past but never more than a week. A Slimbridge spokesman said it’s being blamed on climate …
Economy, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »
It seemed for a while that the global warming activists had the upper hand on us over the summer. Even after foot riots broke out across the country as the price of consumables jumped significantly and shortages popped up around the globe, the pressure was still on from environmentalists everywhere to invest in green technologies. The price of oil didn’t help matters at all; I’m sure climate change advocates across the globe were salivating as they watched the price of oil climb to $140+ per barrel. It certainly seemed that, …

Back when the news broke about rising food prices due, in part, to ethanol production to save the planet from global warming, I mentioned that the poor was the hardest hit. Today, the MidKnight Review blog explores some other issues where the poor may be the hardest hit in the struggle to curtail global warming. With many around the globe struggling just to feed themselves and their families each day, how can they react to the price of goods that are eco-friendly? Green homes cost more than traditional homes. Green …

Conservative blogger from Tennessee Mark A. Rose gives us the scoop on the carbon police. While this story is originally out of Britain, I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to implement here in the U.S. New technology is available in the U.K. that can image up to 5,000 properties per night to seek out carbon leakage from homes. Once offending properties have been images, a team of energy advisors will visit the home and show the scans of the carbon leaks. And here you thought big government was here to …

(H/T: Tom Nelson). Paul Franson wrote today in the San Francisco Chronicle that the Arctic ice cap is almost gone and glaciers are melting. Contrary to what lies are being fed to us through the liberal press, the Arctic ice is gaining ground, and the sea ice is recovering quicker than in 2007. But we also know that the Arctic may have had less ice 6000-7000 years ago when anthropogenic sources of carbon dioxide weren’t around.

Just as I thought I knew of everything caused by climate change, a new one just popped up: an increase in crime due to global warming. From carbon market fraud to an increase in violent crimes to looting after natural (note: not called “man-made” yet) disasters, police forces are being prepped for such a crime wave. Also, violent protests are expected if the government acts too slowly on climate change.
