In the year 2030, it is expected that the gross domestic product of the United States will suffer a 1% cut if greenhouse gas-reducing legislation is enacted. While this number is large but manageable, the real hit on the economy will come if emissions are required to be cut too quickly.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick signed into law today legislation to drop all state taxes on cellulosic biofuels. The plan, which also requires heating oil and diesel to be 2% biofuel by 2010, would provide incentives to industries that produce cellulosic ethanol. The problem is, according to this Cato Institute article, that there is no cellulosic ethanol industry at this time and the costs associated with producing ethanol from biomass is five times the cost of producing corn-based ethanol. So expect the new fuels, if industry shows an interest in that …
Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »
Having read an article by Dr. Tim Ball recently, I began to wonder when the real tipping point in global warming will come. With Al Gore and James Hansen warning of dire consequences if we don’t convert to a carbonless society soon, one can only wonder if there’s truly a target date of destruction or if the goalposts will continue to move as predicted disasters come and go.
Gore was quick to call climate change skeptics moon landing hoaxers and flat Earthers, but might we not consider Gore and his global …

Alan Caruba provides, as always, an interesting perspective on legislation designed to curb global warming, even though it’s a hoax. It seems that somewhere along the way, people have confused pollution control efforts with greenhouse gas emissions controls. It’s more brainwashing by the environmentalist movement to get you to care about having lifestyle changes implemented even if they know global warming is a hoax.

Hi everyone, and welcome to the global warming hoax week-in-review.
Monday, June 23:
It seems the British aren’t convinced of the global warming hoax either, according to a recent poll. Six in 10 Brits don’t believe in the global warming myth and many cited from the poll feel their being taxed too heavily and that all the facts aren’t on the table to make a clear decision. Also, the author over at Read More: GoreLied.Blogspot.com dug up some temperature data that shows the globe’s temperature has actually dropped - considerably - since …
Global Warming Hoax Lead Story, Government Intervention »
A few weeks ago, the U.S. Senate shot down the Lieberman-Warner bill with, quite frankly, little show of emotion from the Democrats and Republicans that supported the legislation to combat the global warming hoax. With such a looming crisis on our hands, and with such dire consequences predicted if we don’t change the course of our carbon-emitting ways, why was there such little fight in a bill that was supposedly so important to the direction of our nation? Even the (then) three Presidential candidates - Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton and …

Hi everyone, and welcome to the global warming hoax week-in-review.
Monday, June 16th:
While Canada and the United States continue to push for more government regulation over carbon emissions, the socialist country China is doing the right thing: nothing. The Chinese government refuses to bow to the global warming activists and is refusing to implement greenhouse gas emissions legislation over fears of stifling their economy. For once, the socialists are getting it right. Also, a hat tip to Read More: GlobalWarmingHoax.com for bringing up an article on satellite data of the Arctic from …

Hi everyone and welcome to the week-that-was in global warming hoax news! I hope everyone took a moment to visit or remember their father on this Father’s Day in the U.S.
Sunday, June 8th:
When you think of socialism, do images of China and the former Soviet Union come to mind? Believe it or not, it’s slowing coming to the United States as environmentalists push for more control in government. The recently defeated Lieberman-Warner bill debated in the U.S. Senate is one example where environmentalists are pushing their agenda for control through …

There’s a loophole in the biofuel legislation that allows for a $1.00 per gallon subsidy to be collected by private industry for blending biodiesel in with regular fuel. Once a minimum amount of diesel is added to the mix, the newly-formulated fuel is shipped off to Europe and sold for below-market rates.

Welcome everyone to the week that was in global warming news.
Sunday, June 1:
Hurricane forecasters have predicted a very active season for hurricanes with 15 tropical storms, eight hurricanes and a 69% chance that one will strike the U.S. mainland. This hurricane season is predicted to be 160% of average. I’m glad that they’re usually wrong.

In more name-calling from the liberal left, a bishop with the Church of England has equated global warming deniers with the Austrian father that held his daughter captive for 24 years, repeatedly raping her …
