The Al Gore co-founded “Current TV” television broadcast network laid off 60 staff members last night and released a statement that the network would use more viewer-generated content, giving its audience a greater opportunity for participation. Our sun is still devoid of sunspots, at a time during its cycle when it should have them. While the 20th century was a period of solar maximum, the planet hasn’t warmed since 1998 - and the sunspots have reduced in number. While global warming could increase agricultural output, a cooling world will not. It’s time to make plans now for global cooling instead of global warming.

On Sunday we learned about new eco-funerals complete with natural fiber clothing and cardboard coffins.  The bad thing is that, just like with real non-eco-funerals, you can go as cheap or expensive as you’d like.  I, for one, would like to see the most expensive cardboard coffin.  Surely it can’t compare to some nice mahogany.  Also, it was determined that a carbon tax won’t make drivers stop using their vehicles.  People love their cars, and even after the price of gas has shot up to record levels, people still drive.
