The environmentalist folks over at PETA are up to their regular shenanigans again.  Now they’re requesting Hormel, of which PETA owns 100 shares of stock, to place a label on their meat products to indicate the footprint being passed on to consumers through the purchase of the meat.  “If meat is on the menu, so if a hefty serving of of greenhouse gases,” says one PETA representative.

While I certainly don’t agree with just about anything coming from PETA, I found this article interesting.  Gore apparently admitted during a blogging conference that he has had some effect on the environment by continuing to eat meat which, according to this PETA article, is more harmful than all cars, trucks, SUVs and planes combined.  Gore needs to walk before he can run, says the article, but I say it’s just another do-as-I-say-and-not-as-I-do attitude that demonstrates how elite Gore thinks he is when compared to the rest of us.  Shouldn’t …

In what appears to be a food topic day on Skeptics Global Warming, more news from the PETA wanna-be’s: eating vegetables one day per week, instead of beef, would be like driving 1160 miles less in your car. Cows are fed soy and corn and, pay attention, the fertilizer used to grow corn is manufacturered by a facility that uses fossil fuels to harvest and process the feed. What we’re seeing here is a politicizing …

Al Gore is being criticized for his meaty diet from this Fox News article. Sources close to the ex-veep say during his unsuccessful 2000 presidential bid, he ate lots of steak and sausage. PETA says that livestock raised for food causes more greenhouse emissions than all modes of transportation combined.

The global warming hoax is not about saving our planet at all. It’s about control of your lifestyle - what you drive, what you use for lighting and what you eat. The real threat to our liberties comes in the form of EPA regulations, which determine what kind of vehicle you drive and what kind of light bulb to use and PETA, which wants to control what you eat.
