This is laughable. Three environmental groups are targeting plants in the Maryland region because of mercury contamination. Paper mills and energy companies are in the crosshairs as this article reports only 1/70th of a teaspoon of mercury is needed to contaminate a 25-acre lake. Now for the laughable part: what happens to all of these CFL bulbs that are due to replace incandescent bulbs in 2012? They do contain mercury and, even with the most stringent recycling programs, many Americans are going to put them …

A recent study found that environmentalists who proclaim to be green actually aren’t helping the planet at all.  While they might be doing their part locally at home to recycle or reuse, these green campaigners are more likely to take long-distance flights more often.  The carbon emissions from such flights negate the efforts of their carbon savings at home.  I covered the hypocrisy and arrogance of the environmentalists back in April.

A Mile HIgh Music Festival recently held in Colorado was billed as being green, but was anything but green.  Drinks were sold in recyclable plastic cups, but those who attended the event simply threw them to the ground without recycling them.  Those working the recycling centers at the event were reduced to just picking up garbage.  Attendees were asked to donate $7.50 each to offset their carbon footprint, with the proceeds going to a windmill that is not currently operational.

PheistyBlog provides some insight into how she’s accosted by green images throughout her day and provides a list of global warming sins dictated by the Church of Climate Change.  Top of the list?  Driving an SUV, not recycling and using incandescent bulbs.

The global warming myth is nothing but a coalition of left-leaning environmentalists in this country and around the world continuing their desperate push to enact lifestyle-changing legislation and it’s become very apparent that your money and your lifestyle are the two targets of the climate change campaign.
