Al Gore, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »

[10 Nov 2008 | 3 Comments | 442 views]

Al Gore had an editorial piece printed in the New York times today.  It’s full of typical environmentalist talking points but only half of the truth is provided.  Follow along as I share my comments (in bold) under each of Gore’s paragraphs (in italics) so help break down the truth from the hyperbole.  While I’ll only excerpt parts of the opinion piece, the entire op-ed can be read by following the link at the bottom of this post.

My favorite, of course is number three: the global warming myth. Carbon trading schemes initiated in 2005 and implemented this year caused unexpected and significant spikes in fuel prices. Some of the other items I’ve touched on before. Lack of nuclear energy, push back on coal plants and lack of refineries. Good list.

Businesses in Wisconsin are feeling the tourism pinch as high energy prices keep the summer tourists away. While Pelosi and her fellow Democrats continue to vacation outside of Washington, residents and businesses alike are feeling the economic hit from years of environmentalism which has stifled the development of new power plants, refineries and increased oil drilling.

Oil continues to fall, two days after President Bush announced the lift on the offshore drilling ban that had been in place since his father, George Herbert Walker Bush, was in office.  Speculation appears to have been driving the oil prices with peak oil remaining a myth in many peoples’ minds.  All we need now is for Congress to enact offshore drilling to establish our energy independence.  Well, and build a few refineries to process all that oil.

Hi everyone, and welcome to the global warming hoax week-in-review.
Monday, June 16th:
While Canada and the United States continue to push for more government regulation over carbon emissions, the socialist country China is doing the right thing:  nothing.  The Chinese government refuses to bow to the global warming activists and is refusing to implement greenhouse gas emissions legislation over fears of stifling their economy.  For once, the socialists are getting it right.  Also, a hat tip to Read More: GlobalWarmingHoax.com for bringing up an article on satellite data of the Arctic from …

Government Intervention »

[20 Jun 2008 | No Comment | 33 views]

The Democrats are going to push the government to take ownership of, and control, refineries in the United States in an effort to better control the flow of oil.  That’s right!  The government thinks they can do a better job of managing something when compared to private enterprise.  To put this in perspective, Social Security is set to go bankrupt in my lifetime, Hillary’s healthcare went down in flames and we’re still refining special gasoline blends in the summer to satisfy the environmentalists.  Let’s all give a Big No Thank …

While many on the environmental left continue to sing the praises of Al Gore and his global warming hoax, those of higher intellect have abandoned the myth.  As with many great left-leaning government tax-and-control schemes, even though the supposed crisis is over, supporters still feel the need to continue pushing legislation to fight global warming.  After all, it’s about control and greed.  Here are some of the ideas I’ve gathered from liberal hubs around the internet after accepting that global warming is a myth:
1.  Pollution is still bad.  Yes, pollution …

The Bay Area has voted to implement a pollution fee of 4.4 cents per ton and, while this may not seem much, oil refineries and power plants are expected to pay upwards of $50,000 per year.

Elections, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »

[14 May 2008 | No Comment | 12 views]

No matter how you look at it, skeptics of the global warming hoax are destined to lose in November in the United States.
Both remaining U.S. presidential candidates, John McCain and Barack Hussein Obama, are staunch supporters of the global warming hoax. The only difference between the two is how badly they will crush the economy as both have very liberal tendencies to use taxes to solve a problem that doesn’t exist.
John McCain has proposed a cap-and-trade system which would seek to return to 2005 emissions levels by 2012, 1990 …

Welcome, everyone, to the weekly global warming hoax news round-up.
Sunday, April 27:
In a very inconvenient truth for global warming activists around the globe, it was revealed that 30% of our corn crop goes to the production of ethanol.  To give a representation of the inefficiency of corn-based ethanol, it takes 450 pounds of corn to fill a 25 gallon fuel tank.  I’d call that inefficient.  As if that level of inefficiency wasn’t scary enough, the global warming crowd is scaring us back into the stone age.  The public’s fear of …
