Amid a frenzy of news reports covering backlash over skyrocketing food prices due to the corn-based ethanol boondoggle, the global warming hoax could be in trouble.

Time Magazine recently reported in the Clean Energy Scam that rain forests were disappearing at an alarming rate, thanks to biofuel use.  The sad part about biofuels is that they are less efficient than regular gasoline and release more emissions than traditional fuel.  Last year, the United States produced seven billion gallons of biofuel, which cost taxpayers around eight billion dollars, according to the Time Magazine article.  And that’s just the start.  Corn-based biofuels are causing food shortages of not only corn, but soy and wheat and more farmers devote land to producing corn than anything else.  And as the demand for corn increases, more farmland will be needed to keep the supply up, which means more deforestation, more fertilizer and more water - a resource we’ve been begged to use sparingly by the environmentalists for years.

In An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore said global warming would cause an increase and intensity of hurricanes but that hasn’t materialized.  Instead, we’ve seen a reduction of hurricanes over the last two years even at a time when world-renowned scientists were predicting increases.  There’s even a large hurricane formed from smokestack emissions on the cover of the film.  The inspiration for the cover art and scientist who predicted the increase of hurricanes due to global warming, Kerry Emanuel, has since backed off his global-warming-causes-hurricanes theory.  

The ice is melting, Gore tells us, and we can expect to see a sea-level rise of 20 feet if global warming isn’t stopped.  Again, the former vice president is wrong.  In a recent report it was determined that sea ice is growing at an unprecedented rate.  In addition, Antarctic ice is experiencing record growth.

I’ve recently picked up from reading about Gore’s speeches across the world that he no longer refers to hurricanes being caused by global warming.  He’s still sticking with the ice melt, though, but now global warming causes something else:  disease.  It was recently reported that global warming will cause more people to die from HIV/AIDS because of malnutrition due to food shortages.  I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if food shortages cause more people to die from AIDS/HIV, ethanol production can be held accountable.  Also, diseases are making a comeback due to global warming.  Thanks to a warming planet, mosquitos are rampant across the world and are spreading diseases, like malaria.  Except malaria would probably be all but eradicated except for the ban of DDT based on junk science.  Strike three, global warming hoax.  You’re out.

But there’s a fourth strike if we can leave the baseball analogy.  People are tired of having their personal lives infringed upon and paying higher taxes just to use a vehicle.  In England recently, the incumbent liberal mayor of London was ousted in an election where campaigns were run mostly on environmental issues.   Mr. Gore, we don’t want your overpriced mercury-containing light bulbs, we don’t want your carbon taxes and we don’t want your hybrid vehicles.  We want energy independence just like you do, but by drilling domestic oil and using nuclear power.  Wind, solar, geothermal and hydrothermal won’t do the job.  Please tell your environmentalist buddies that nuclear is safe so we can build a power plant.

WIth Al Gore running out of talking points, what’s left to discuss in the global warming debate?  Clearly the debate isn’t over as the dire life-threatening predictions foretold by the false prophet Al Gore don’t hold water.  All that water is being held, frozen, in the sea and in the poles.
