Great graphic from Gateway Pundit (link below). In addition to news of Barack Obama considering Al Gore for Climate Czar, the October-November temperature ranks graphic for the United States is shown. Must of the country is either near normal or below normal. With two straight years of global cooling, the timing of Obama’s election to the Presidency is perfect for the global warming movement as they now have all of the administration in place to enact tough climate change policies and increase our tax dollars, even when …

Earlier today, I made a post asking why Democrats wanted to bail out big auto, but there is apparently more to this story. It seems President-Elect The One wants to appoint a Car Czar to oversee the government bailout of the auto industry and bring them back to profitability. As I mentioned in my last post (linked above), there are some government restrictions to receive the bailout cash, most notably the to improve fuel efficiency.

All American Blogger has some interesting analysis here on the Dems’ push to bail out Big Auto in the United States. Since these same Democrats are against offshore drilling, for cap-and-trade systems and love high energy prices, why would they want to help an industry that creates carbon-spewing automobiles? Aside from the article commentary at All American Blogger, I have two ideas, personally: one is to guarantee votes in subsequent elections from auto workers and the other is to place tighter government restrictions on how the industry …

First, I want to congratulate Barack Obama on his victory last evening. I hope he keeps his word about tax cuts for the middle class and I hope he ditches this notion of universal healthcare and global warming fanaticism.
The Gore Lied site continues to impress me with his selection of articles this week. Klockarman discusses the fairness doctrine and what it could mean for blogs skeptical of global warming. With Democrats salivating at a real …

It seems socialism is running rampant this week.  Chinese officials recently remarked that rich countries should shoulder the load of paying for initiatives and cover poorer nations in the fight against global warming.  So it’s not enough that rich countries, specifically the United States, send foreign aid in the form of cash, food and military support to third-world nations, but now we have to pick up the tab for helping them reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  Wonderful.

The GoreLied blog picked up on some subtle changes in The Oregonian.  Specifically, it seems their reporting on anthropogenic global warming has shifted from taking a pro stance to one that’s more mixed.  Most recently, they reported that Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski (D) will catch flak from global warming skeptics now that he has released his green wish-list for his state.

Conservative blogger from Tennessee Mark A. Rose gives us the scoop on the carbon police.  While this story is originally out of Britain, I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to implement here in the U.S.  New technology is available in the U.K. that can image up to 5,000 properties per night to seek out carbon leakage from homes.  Once offending properties have been images, a team of energy advisors will visit the home and show the scans of the carbon leaks.  And here you thought big government was here to …

What a waste of cash.  I hope all the residents of Seattle call your mayor about this one.  The city of Seattle’s Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, in conjunction with Seattle Public Utilities, is hosting a competition for artists in Washington state to submit art to bring attention to global warming and its effects on water supply and drainage utilities.  From the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs web page: “in 2007, the city invested nearly $1.7 million to support 243 artists and cultural organizations.”  So the city …

Relatively new global warming hoax blogger Simon at Australian Climate Madness has some perspective on how America plans to deal with the financial crisis:  tackling climate change.  Yes, my friends, even the land down under knows America desires to throw billions of dollars into the ponzi scheme known as global warming by redirecting investments into clean and renewable energy.

The global warming myth is in serious trouble over in the European Union as its leaders are planning to use the current financial crisis as an excuse to renege on its current climate change commitments.  The EU council, which meets next week, is proposing a change to automatic emissions cuts from 20% to 30% if a greenhouse gas emissions plan is put in place.  From the article:

The current EU target of a 20% reduction in emissions by 2020 will automatically increase to 30% if a global deal is signed. But …
