(H/T: Heliogenic Climate Change). Just as temperatures have falled over the last decade across the globe, much can be said for hurricanes. With what appears to be a peak in 1992 and again in 1998, hurricanes have dropped off precipitously since just three years ago. So much for the increase in ravaging storms because of global warming. Will we hear about this in the media? Not a chance.

Someone report the media. After predictions of an above average season in terms of strength and numbers (see my post from April of this year), it quite frankly hasn’t materialized. The doom-and-gloom carriers of the global warming hoax in the media have blamed climate change on increasing storms and intensity, but once again their predictions have failed to come to fruition. The mainstream media won’t report on this latest finding either because it doesn’t fit their agenda or it won’t give them a ratings bump. Either …
Global Warming Hoax Lead Story, Hurricanes »
I recently read an article over at the Duke Chronicle that discussed the link between global warming and hurricanes and, more importantly, the inability to link global warming and hurricanes. The article says that Hurricane Ike reignited the debate of whether or not a link exists between hurricanes and climate change. Having done my own study on the connection between tropical systems and temperature, I can tell you that I didn’t see any connection. Activists, however, see things differently. Al Gore recently tried to link the two, citing higher temperatures …

(Via Heliogenic Climate Change). Fewer severe tropical cyclones around the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico when sunspot numbers are high is the basis of the relationship between hurricanes and solar activity.

I was waiting on this one. Right Wing News is reporting on an article out recently that blamed big oil’s lack of “urgent search for solutions to global warming” on Hurricane Ike. Yup. Mother Nature bats last, according to the article, and big oil has set up phony debates on whether or not global warming exists and if its caused by humans. Right Wing News does fire back with the obvious, though: what about the large hurricane that slammed into Galveston in 1900? Where were all the SUVs then? Look, …
Global Warming Hoax Lead Story, Hurricanes »
WIth Hurricane Gustav dealing a glancing blow to New Orleans, the city won’t, at least for now, experience an event similar to Hurricane Katrina in 2005. With Katrina being the poster storm of the modern global warming movement, I wonder where the global warming activists are with the latest round of tropical storms. There have been Hurricanes Bertha, Fay, Gustav and now Hanna (recently downgraded to a tropical storm) so far this year that have been contenders for threats to the mainland United States. Gustav only made the Democrats suddenly …

Tropical Storm Gustav is, at least for now, on track for a potential Louisiana landfall almost exactly three years after Hurricane Katrina pounded the region that caused widespread flooding. This time, however, the city is already preparing to evacuate citizens, which is what should have been done three years ago except Mayor Ray Nagan was a little short-sighted and, instead, the federal government was blamed for FEMA’s shortcomings. Meanwhile, the Republicans are considering postponement of the RNC in case of a New Orleans strike by Gustav as they fear many …

Tropical Storm Fay made landfall earlier this week and continues to sit over Florida, bringing drenching rains. Computer models made several predictions about the storm that were wholly inaccurate. Fay was predicted to become a hurricane before striking land. It didn’t. Fay was predicted to go back out into the Atlantic and up the coast. It didn’t. Fay was predicted to cross over Florida and head into Alabama and Mississippi. It didn’t. Fay was predicted to go north through the Carolinas. It didn’t. If short-term models are that flawed, how …

Tropical Storm Fay, which never gained enough strength to become a hurricane, hit Florida earlier today and did relatively little damage. Guess we’ll have to wait another day for those storms of increased intensity caused by global warming to strike the United States.
