The Gore Lied blog, as always, provides some particularly biting commentary on a plan hatched in Oregon to plant trees to save the planet.  While this concept isn’t very new, the motive behind it is:  plant trees to suck up carbon from the atmosphere and have it stored naturally in trees and make money while doing so.  Anyone want to place bets on which global warming activist has already bought a bunch of tree-worthy property in Oregon?  Click the link for the entire article with comment from the editor of Gore Lied:

Carbon credits are the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the human race.

Folks who burn trees call it “carbon neutral” because they are simply releasing carbon already stored.

    Makes no sense at all.

An acre of prairie grass sequesters more carbon than an acre of forest.

Cows sequester carbon by eating grass.

I sequester carbon by eating cows. Do I then get a “carbon credit?”
