Having read an article by Dr. Tim Ball recently, I began to wonder when the real tipping point in global warming will come.  With Al Gore and James Hansen warning of dire consequences if we don’t convert to a carbonless society soon, one can only wonder if there’s truly a target date of destruction or if the goalposts will continue to move as predicted disasters come and go.

Gore was quick to call climate change skeptics moon landing hoaxers and flat Earthers, but might we not consider Gore and his global warming activists similar to those who continued to predict the second coming of Christ, only to fail time-and-time again?  While it took a while for believers in the false prophets to finally realize they’d been lied to, I often wonder how long it will take for proponents of global warming to realize that they too have been subjected to lies all in an effort to bring socialistic ideals to countries around the world.

Al Gore recently claimed that we have only 10 years remaining to become carbon-free.  With evidence all around us that the planet is cooling, and has been for years, fewer and fewer believe Gore’s word as the gospel and more are searching for answers independently of global warming talking points.  Arctic ice is pretty stable.  Antarctic ice is growing.  Glaciers continue to grow.  Frozen precipitation has fallen in rare places around the globe.  Record cold temperatures have gripped the planet during the last two years and global temperatures just haven’t moved north since at least 2001, with some scientists claiming 1998 as the most recent warm year.

So when is the global warming tipping point?  Is it really 10 years from now?  20?  100?  Does anyone really know?  Will there always be new tipping points as predictions of global catastrophe fail to pass?  How long will people cling to the idea that man-made carbon emissions can cause an entire planet to warm?  Or are we seeing a desperate attempt by the climate change activists to expand their membership and push governments around the world into enacting economy-wrecking legislation?  For me, 10 years seems like an awfully short amount of time.  We’ve been pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere for less than a century and already the clock is running out?  It’s another case of act now, worry about proof later - the original basis of global warming activism.  And as long as Al Gore’s pockets, and government-funded research studies, are lined with cash, this may only be the first in many deperate attempts to increase the heavy hand of goverment, all in the name of saving the planet.
