Government Gets in Business of Private Industry

This has nothing to do with the absurd federal bailout package, either.  Convenience stores in the city of Kyoto are being asked to not remain open 24 hours to help fight global warming.  As Anthony Watts puts it, there’s only going to be a real savings on electricity from light.  The refrigeration units must still run.  Maybe I should have called this post “Pirates of Profit Gag Business for Global Warming.”  That seems about right.
