The Weather Channel’s “Forecast Earth’ Cancelled

The Weather Channel program “Forecast Earth”, the only climate change program on the station, was cancelled last week amid NBC’s “Green Week”. It was hosted by Natalie Allen, a former CNN anchor with “expert” commentary by Heidi Cullen. I guess even NBC believes that global warming education is a waste of cash in a down economy.

    I had an ex-student apply for this opportunity…She was notified that she was a semi-finalist
    and ABRUPTLY dropped like a hot potato with little explanation as to what happened. A teenager who was involved in meterology, climatology, website-building and more, it was highly discouraging to see how insenstively this young woman was treated. Shame on this entire organization for promoting such a mass-commercialized project for young folks and then treating their efforts with such little regard!
