The Sun is Dormant and Temperatures Inconveniently Fall

According to the article, the period between 1940 and 2000 saw a significant increase in global temperatures. However, this period also saw an increase in solar activity. With the sun dormant now and sunspot activity non-existent, temperatures globally have fallen since the turn of the century.
