How infuriating.  A UK jury found a group of Greenpeace vandals not guilty of damaging a coal-fired power plant because of the threat of global warming.  The six defendants successfully used a “lawful excuse” defense written into the Criminal Damage Act of 1971, which allows destruction of property to prevent even greater damage.  While I’m sure global warming activists are proud of their brainwashing efforts, it does provide a slippery slope for victims on both sides of the debate.  Can home heating systems be sabotaged legally because of global warming?  …

Alan Caruba provides, as always, an interesting perspective on legislation designed to curb global warming, even though it’s a hoax.  It seems that somewhere along the way, people have confused pollution control efforts with greenhouse gas emissions controls.  It’s more brainwashing by the environmentalist movement to get you to care about having lifestyle changes implemented even if they know global warming is a hoax.

The Weekly Reader, a magazine for kids distributed in schools, recently had an article on global warming which quoted the IPCC conclusions that it is anthropogenic in origin.  The article then linked to a kids EPA site that depicts bulldozers tearing down trees, which contributes to global warming.  But author Chris makes a very good point:  the corn-for-ethanol craze is only forcing more land to be cleared.  More having cake and eating it too from the left-leaning environmentalists.

Dr. William Gray, in a recent interview, said that our children are being brainwashed. Films like Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth are being shown in classrooms across the country, indoctrinating our children with something completely bogus. He also feels that if global warming exists, it would not be a catalyst for hurricane formation.
