More Gore Effect in action here:  a group of students from colleges and universities throughout New York state banded together for a bicycle run in foul weather to promote awareness of climate change.  The group stopped in Utica, New York, around noon with environmentalists cheering them on.  The group of cyclists want the candidates to tell voters what they plan to do about climate change.

Higher education systems in Nevada have received a $15 million federal grant to study regional effects of climate change.  The state will team up with New Mexico and Idaho, which also received federal funds for the study.  Desert Research Institute, University of Nevada, Reno, University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Nevada State College will analyze and model the effects of regional climate change on the ecosystem and water resources, according to the article.

Ohio, known for its buckeyes and its Buckeyes, may be forever changed thanks to global warming.  It seems the buckeye tree may go the way of the Dodo bird and migrate north to Michigan.  On the campus of Ohio State, signs are being erected that warn of the evil dangers of global warming and even a reference to the newly-minted Michigan Buckeyes.  Let’s hope college students at Ohio State University aren’t as gullible as those pushing the global warming myth.
