(Via Endiana).  Earlier this year I wrote about state legislators in California wanting to control your home thermostat to ensure the end of rolling blackouts.  Today, you get a glimpse inside what it’s like to live in a country where thermostats are controlled by the government.  This piece from the Moscow Times discusses at length what people do to stay warm when it’s cold outside and while they wait for their government to turn on the heat.  During an early cold spell in Moscow, residents in city-controlled dwellings are spending …

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if global warming was truly a planetary emergency, leaders around the globe would do everything possible to help reduce the crisis. Instead, we see Gore’s large home with larger-than-life energy use and a 100-foot SolarOne house boat that runs on solar and biodiesel. Still, the ex-veep tours the globe in his private jet and air conditioned limousines to preach about lifestyle changes necessary to save the …

Environmentalists »

From acid rain to global cooling to proposed limits to human population, environmentalists have had their say over the years and their predictions have come and gone without incident. With such a high failure rate, why should we continue to them? With the so-called threat of global warming now in the mainstream, the threat of higher taxes and lifestyle changes are on the radar. Freedom is being limited by the fear-mongering and propaganda of global warming.

Global Warming Hoax Lead Story, Name-Calling »

[15 Sep 2008 | One Comment | 207 views]

God bless the global warming activists.  It must be tough having to defend their positions daily all while trying to indoctrinate new members into their modern-day good ol’ boys club.
While we all know Al Gore stands to profit from the global warming machine due to his investments in companies that produce carbon credits and green technologies, the same isn’t true in reverse.  Many of the folks I know that remain skeptical about anthropogenic global warming are just like you and me.  Some of them are married and some have kids.  …

Global Warming Hoax Lead Story, Lifestyle »

[9 Sep 2008 | 2 Comments | 144 views]

After having read an article over at THBarb yesterday, I was inspired by a line or two there that made sense to me.  The decisions around anthropogenic global warming have been made for us.
With many other social factors - and that’s what global warming is, folks, a social factor - liberals have demanded that humans have a choice.  The people chose a Democrat-controlled Congress in 2006, and liberals were elated, although their approval rating plunged to nine percent most recently.  The people are going to choose a Democrat President later …

Protesters at a London meat market brought their vegetarian message and a hope of lifestyle changes on the masses. The group is calling for increased taxes on meat production and consumption, although they say they do not want to force lifestyle changes on anyone.

Economy »

[8 Aug 2008 | No Comment | 16 views]

Al Gore’s best hope has turned into his worst nightmare. The economy, slowed by high oil prices and transportation costs, has turned people away from the green lifestyle in an effort to save money. Governments are quietly dropping green taxes and fees and those hit by the slow rate of economic growth are hitting back by not shopping at organic food stores, where prices tend to be higher than those of regular supermarkets.

Food »

They’re starving back in China, so finish what you got, or so said John Lennon many years ago. Today, Lennon may have reworked those lyrics to tell us we’re causing global warming, so finish what you got. We’ll never know, but a study found that Americans waste approximately 27% of food and all but 2% goes in landfills which releases methane gas as it decomposes. So be fat and happy, my friends. Finish everything …

Carbon Tax, Global Warming Hoax Lead Story »

[5 Aug 2008 | No Comment | 142 views]

Most of you that are skeptical of global warming see the explicit lifestyle choices being forced in your personal lives from new compact fluorescent light bulbs that contain mercury (and cost much more) to expensive gasoline that can be traced back to lack of action by environmentalists and the Democrats who love them.  But did you realize there’s a more sinister plan in the works?  It’s already being discussed in Britain and could make its way to the United States quickly if the global warming activists have their way.  It’s …

Government Intervention »

(H/T: Paul):  Bloggers around the world are getting exposure as the number of blogs skeptical of climate change continue to increase.  But the real issue here is that Graeme Pearman, a former CSIRO scientist and advisor to the IPCC interviewed in this video says that the governments of the world must act even if they’re not 100% sure of the scientific findings of global warming.  It’s amazing that governments across the globe are willing to wreck economies and completely force lifestyle changes on others all for something that might …
