As if the indoctrination surrounding our children in schools wasn’t enough, the mainstream media has decided to make Hallowe’en a green event from this year forward.  MSN has an article for tips on making Hallowe’en more environmentally friendly.  After all, any kid having a “normal” Hallowe’en is just killing the planet.  I wonder if the enviro-patrol will be on duty looking out for rule-breakers?

Thousands of secondary schools in India have received climate change packs to help instructors teach the potential catastrophe known as global warming.  Although concern has been expressed that this could make children apprehensive about the future, proponents of the climate change packs feel it provides opportunities and showcases what needs to be done.  More indoctrination at its finest.

The state of Vermont is holding a competition between schools to determine which can reduce their contribution to global warming the most.  Among the daily tasks to reduce carbon footprints undertaken by the students:  bringing lunch in reusable containers and taking shorter showers.  Government-mandated indoctrination at its finest!

By James Nash
A recent poll of 530 climatologists in 27 countries showed 34.7 percent of interviewees endorsed the notion that a substantial part of the current global warming trend - which might see temperatures rise by a degree or two, on average, by century ’s end - is caused by man ’s industrial activities: driving cars and the like.
More than a fifth - 20.5 percent - rejected this “anthropogenic hypothesis.” Half were undecided. The skeptics now include the 85 climate experts who signed the 1995 Leipzig Declaration; the …

The Princeton Review, a website dedicated to helping students and parents navigate school admissions and standardized testing, is now ranking learning institutions by how “green” they are.  Those that recycle and have other environmentally-friendly policies, provide a healthy environment for students and how well students are prepared for employment in a clean energy economy are all factors in the ranking.  Schools that rank 99 or higher are placed on the site’s “honor roll”.

The Weekly Reader, a magazine for kids distributed in schools, recently had an article on global warming which quoted the IPCC conclusions that it is anthropogenic in origin.  The article then linked to a kids EPA site that depicts bulldozers tearing down trees, which contributes to global warming.  But author Chris makes a very good point:  the corn-for-ethanol craze is only forcing more land to be cleared.  More having cake and eating it too from the left-leaning environmentalists.

I love stuff like this. Evidently the liberals in this country haven’t succeeded in pushing their agenda on American children in public schools. The publisher of the American Government textbook, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, had an author who made a quick remark about global warming which provided an example for both sides of the global warming argument. I’m truly impressed that someone would have the guts to do this.

A class full of sixth graders wrote letters to the Heartland Institute explaining how they feel about global warming. The children said they learned about global warming after reading 10 articles. After further investigation, it was found that these 10 articles were mostly about the grave effects of global warming on the planet rather than the actual science behind the myth.
